Position Details Reporting to the appropriate Program Manager, the Home Supervisor will primarily be responsible for providing a home that is emotionally supportive, socially stimulating, and conducive to learning and development for the child/youth in care. Your goal will be to create opportunities for young people in your care to learn and grow. You will be a key part of the client care team, and will supervise and train the youth care workers on your team. You will also be the key administrator for the home you supervise, including managing record keeping and reporting, cash handling, workplace safety, and employee scheduling. We offer a complete support network which includes a series of training modules that provides not only an understanding of the techniques required for effective supervision, but has been designed to give supervisors the confidence to use those techniques in order to be a competent supervisor. Requirements The successful candidate must be able to provide leadership and guidance to team of 8-12 workers. He/She must have at minimum one year experience working as a Child and Youth Care Worker, demonstrated effective job performance, completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Training, completion of CARE training, demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, excellent decision making and problem solving skills, good communication skills, both oral and written, excellent report writing abilities and a commitment to training and development.
